THE
HANDS
KNOW

OWNERSHIP • INTEGRITY • MASTERY

THE HANDS KNOW

MASTER YOUR CRAFT UNTIL
EXCELLENCE BECOMES
SECOND NATURE.

Great beer. Great food. A packed room. A night people remember. None of it happens by accident. It happens because someone cared enough to
do the work, over and over, until it became second nature.
This is mastery. This is taking your craft so seriously that you refuse to be average. You repeat the work. Study the details. Follow through. Ask
questions. Improve. There comes a point where you don’t have to think.

YOUR HANDS KNOW.

This is not about doing your job. This is about becoming the kind of person whose work speaks for itself. Mastery demands humility and truth.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”
  COLOSSIANS 3:23

GRACE SETS
THE
TABLE

GRACE SETS THE TABLE

GRACE CREATES THE SAFETY
REQUIRED FOR TRUTH
AND GROWTH.

The standard here is high and the truth here is spoken plainly, and the only thing that makes both of those things livable is grace. Grace never lowers the standard. It gives people the space to rise to it.

Grace is what we extend to the teammate who is still learning, the guest carrying a hard week, and the new hire who has not yet found their rhythm.

WITHOUT GRACE, PEOPLE PROTECT THEMSELVES.
WITH GRACE, PEOPLE OPEN UP.

It’s what allows truth to be pursued without people tearing each other apart. Grace sets the table so truth can be found.

“Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.”
  ROMANS 15:17

WHAT IS
THE
TRUTH

CLARITY • CURIOSITY • COURAGE

WHAT IS THE TRUTH

SET EGO ASIDE AND
PURSUE WHAT
IS REAL.

The recipe that is not quite right. The event that flopped. The idea in the meeting that needs to be challenged. The feedback a manager has been avoiding.

We ask one question before every decision and every conversation:

WHAT IS ACTUALLY TRUE?

The person willing to see clearly, speak honestly, and receive hard truth will always outperform the one protecting their ego.

NOT WHAT’S COMFORTABLE.
NOT WHAT PROTECTS YOUR IMAGE.
WHAT IS ACTUALLY TRUE.

“Speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head.”
  EPHESIANS 4:15

THIS IS
THE
GOOD PART

GRATITUDE • HOPE • CELEBRATION

THIS IS THE GOOD PART

CHOOSE PERSPECTIVE
THAT LIFTS
THE ROOM.

The first sip of a beer we brewed ourselves. The band hitting its stride on a Saturday night. The staff gathering after close. The table of regulars in
the corner. This is it.

The good part isn’t waiting at the finish line. It’s happening right now, with these people, in this place. This is not fake positivity or ignoring reality.
It’s choosing perspective rooted in gratitude, hope, and truth.

ONE PERSON CAN LIFT A ROOM.
ONE PERSON CAN DRAIN IT.
WE CHOOSE TO LIFT IT.

“A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God.”
  ECCLESIASTES 2:45

WE
ARE
SENT

WE ARE SENT

SERVE SOMETHING BIGGER
THAN YOURSELF.

Connection is what every human being is made for, and we were sent to meet that longing with hospitality, attention, and care.
It’s noticing the guest drinking alone. Remembering a regular’s name. Brewing with the person on the other end of the pour in mind. The song
that lifts a Friday night. The can opened at a campfire we will never see. Wherever your work happens, it sets a table where people belong.

THIS IS BIGGER THAN ANY ONE OF US.

Mastery, grace, truth, and gratitude were never just for us. They are how we love our neighbor, serve our team, and care for our guests.

“As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”
  JOHN 20:21

BELONGING
AT
HANGAR 24

THE TABLE AT HANGAR 24 HAS ALWAYS BEEN LONGER THAN ANY ONE STORY. OUR FOUNDING VISION IS SHAPED BY CHRISTIAN FAITH, AND WE WELCOME TEAM MEMBERS AND GUESTS OF EVERY BACKGROUND AND BELIEF.

We want to be plain about what that means.

Our values of mastery, grace, truth, gratitude, and service define how we work and how we treat one another. Inside the workplace, they are
demonstrated through observable behavior. Humility looks like admitting mistakes, accepting feedback, asking questions, and giving credit where
it’s due. Grace looks like patience with someone still learning. Truth looks like an honest conversation instead of an avoided one.
No one is required to profess, adopt, or practice Christian faith in order to work, lead, grow, advance, or belong at Hangar 24. Participation in
prayer, religious conversation, or faith-based activities is always voluntary and is never a condition of employment, advancement, scheduling, or
evaluation. Taking part will never earn favor, and declining will never cost you anything: not a shift, not a review, not an opportunity, not a seat at
this table. And whatever faith or convictions you bring with you will be respected.
What we ask of every team member is the same: a shared, wholehearted commitment to the behaviors that make this culture strong: mastery,
grace, truth, gratitude, and service.

Different Stories. Same Table.

This Culture Book is a standalone statement of Hangar 24’s culture. It is not an employment contract, creates no promises regarding employment or any term of employment, and does not alter the at-will employment relationship.
Nothing in this Culture Book restricts employees’ rights under the National Labor Relations Act, including the right to discuss wages, hours, and
working conditions or to engage in other legally protected concerted activity.

THE
INVITATION

WE ARE SENT

MASTERY.
GRACE.
TRUTH.
GRATITUDE.
THE CONVICTION THAT WE ARE SENT.

These are the values we choose to live with our whole hearts. This is a call to be all in: pursue excellence, extend grace, seek truth, choose
gratitude, and serve something bigger than yourself. We bring different stories, different gifts, and different roads that led us here, and around this
table they become one strength. We sharpen each other, lift each other, and celebrate every step toward becoming our best selves, so we can give
our best to every person our work reaches.
Wholehearted. Unified. Sent.

IF YOU ARE HERE, YOU ARE PART OF THIS.
